Fusion rules in a Majorana single-charge transistor

A demonstration of the theoretically predicted non-abelian properties Majorana bound states (MBSs) would constitute a definite proof topological superconducting phase. Alongside nontrivial braiding statistics, fusion rules are fundamental all anyons. In this work, we propose and analyze way to demonstrate MBS in single-charge transistor. Our proposal reduces both number operations device complexity compared previous designs. Furthermore, show that protocol can be adapted pump quantized amount charge each cycle, providing straightforward method detect through DC current measurement. We numerically analytically required operational timescales expected measurement signals within experimental capabilities various superconductor-semiconductor hybrid platforms.
